What types of content do you need for your online marketing strategy?
To represent your business online, you need a variety of different types of content to evoke desire and build trust with your customers. Whichever industry your business is in ~ health and wellbeing, building and construction, food and beverage, fashion and beauty ~ there are a range of marketing strategies you can be using to elevate your online presence, and that’s where we come in!

We specialize in not just making content, but targeting the content we create to deliver results relevant to your business. This is why we, as a team, aim to provide you with a variety of different types of content to help you reach your goals.
Visual Content
“A picture says a thousand words”

It’s a phrase we’ve all heard many times before, and yet many businesses still aren’t prioritizing their visual content. It’s one of the most important forms of online content - there’s a reason why Instagram and TikTok have catapulted in popularity; their success is due to the effectiveness of visual content - specifically short form video.
At J2, we curate video and images that will evoke emotion and elicit desire for your product and/or service. Before you go and spend time and/or money on creating your content, it’s important to understand what your vibe is.

How would you describe your business’ mood? What kind of emotion do you want to evoke in your customers? Do you want to inspire and uplift? Or do you want to provide space to relax and honor the rare quiet moments?
Whatever your vibe is, or even if you’re not sure how to describe it, we’re dedicated to conjuring fresh and innovative content that will catch your consumer’s eye and grow your online presence!
Audio Content
Audio and sound are also incredibly important when creating a mood, and since Facebook and Instagram are prioritising reels and video content recently, it’s all the more imperative that we utilize audio. Selecting music to compliment video content is key in bringing potential customers into your business and offering them a taste of the experience on offer.
Audio can also be utilized through spoken word to deliver important messages or informative posts about your products and services. Podcasts have become more and more popular, with Infinite Dial Australia’s 2021 report concluding:
“Overall, 86% of Australians aged 12+ listened to radio over-the-air, online and via catch-up radio podcasts in the last month and about 5.6 million Australians, or 26% of the population, are weekly podcast listeners”
Jason, along with being a director of J2 Content Creation, is also a producer. One of his most recent podcasts is the ReFramed Podcast, where he also co-hosts. He, his co-hosts and a range of guest speakers shine a light on representation of people with disability in film and TV. This is an important platform for him to deliver his mission statement, “Dismantling ableism is everybody’s responsibility,” and offer a space where listeners can learn more about the importance of genuine representation, and the harmful impacts of negative representation.
Podcasts can be an effective way to share more information about certain aspects of your business, your industry or your passions. It’s also a fantastic way to provide something of value to your potential customers for free, which will keep them engaged with your and/or your digital presence. By digging deeper, you’re able to demonstrate your knowledge and expertise - creating a greater sense of trust and forming relationships with a wider audience.
At J2, we’ve developed processes to keep the cost of podcast and vodcast projects attainable for small to medium sized businesses. Of course, if you’re a larger organization looking for a higher end project, we’re here for you too!
Written Content
Written content is perhaps one of the most important types of content online. Of course, video, imagery and audio will often peak interest in consumers - but words work to ensure you are trustworthy, knowledgeable and effective. One day, the mysterious Metaverse may make words and SEO redundant. But for now, it’s still the backbone of digital marketing.
If you want to be found online, you have to ensure you are including the correct words in the copy on your online presence. Think, if I was looking for this business, what would I type into Google? The more web pages and social media posts that align with this, the more likely the Google search will generate a lead, sale or enquiry for your business.

Of course, written content isn’t enough on its own - you need the visual elements to reinforce your position and continue to create that “vibe” we keep talking about. For written posts, such as this blog, it’s essential to break up information with visuals, to keep interest and provide a resting point for the eyes. Everytime you segment your writing with an image or video, it also gives you an opportunity to reinforce or summarise your statement, such as the content below.
So, what’s the general gist across visual content, audio content and written content? It’s all important, especially with the increasingly competitive nature of digital and social media marketing. If you need a hand to elevate one or all of these content types, we’re well placed to assist. As an agency, we have a highly-skilled and creative team whose skill sets span across video, imagery, graphic design, copywriting, web design, production and more.
We’re a passionate crew, who are here to help you create all of the content you need to cement your business in the online market!
